SUPERMARKET chain Morrisons this week recalled cooked lamb products from sale, following a health scare.
Morrisons has withdrawn Morrisons Deli Cooked Lamb, 85p per 100g and Safeway Deli Cooked Lamb, 85p per 100g from sale, following a routine microbiological test which showed the presence of salmonella in a single sample.
A spokesman for Morrisons said: ?If you have bought this product, do not eat it. Please return it to your nearest Morrisons or Safeway store for a full refund ? no receipt is required.
?Morrisons apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and we assure customers of our commitment to the highest standards of product safety and quality.?
A spokesman for West Devon Borough Council?s environmental health department said the council was aware of the alert.
He said: ?We have contacted Morrisons and we are happy they have taken appropriate action.?
