Truro 1

Tavistock 2

TAVISTOCK travelled to Truro for their last away game of the season, knowing they have struggled this year after a string of poor results. The visitors started the game with enthusiasm and were rewarded with an early goal from Adam Holland.

Truro drew level with the last touch of the first half, after a well worked short corner. However Tavistock came back determined and worked the ball well between all their players. Eventually they were rewarded with a well struck goal from Will Leach, who hit the roof of the net.

Truro tried their hardest to get an equaliser, but the away side held their ground for a deserved win that has been building for the past three weeks with the same squad finally gelling.

Tavistock 3

Exeter Culm Vale Hornets 4

TAVISTOCK started well in the first half, but were slowly pushed deeper into their own half and deserved to go into the break 3-1 down.

An uplifting half-time team talk; and an early second half goal executed by Jake Doney for Tavistock, gave the home side a foothold in the well matched second half of the game. Josh Cowen-D'arcy scored a superb equaliser from a short corner strike but the Tavistock men could not keep the Exeter men out for the winner.

Tavistock 2

Sidmouth 4

TAVISTOCK went out for their last game of the season with their heads held high, looking to give joint 'top of the table' Sidmouth a tough match.  After a very physical first half, the score was held at 3-2 in Sidmouths favour.

Tavistock goals came from Carl Jeffery and Josh Cowen-D'arcy.  The home side went into the second half with all players fighting for their side.  They were unfortunate to concede one more, leaving the score at full time 4 - 2. Tavistock man of match was Paul Marchant.

The last training session for the sessions is this evening while the presentation night, by invitation only is on Saturday.
