Axminster v Tavistock

AXMINSTER started well on a good wicket with Larcombe and Murnane sharing an opening stand of 84 before Andy Gauler took the first of his three wickets.

Miller joined Larcobe and at 168 for 1, a really big total looked assured. Tavistock kept taking wickets to stem the run tide and at 240- 5 Axminster's total was a competitive one.

Tavistock's reply was equally as good with Ian Grey and Aaron Churchill setting off with plenty of porpose in mind they put on a magnificent 159 for the last wicket to set up a possible win rapidly bolstered by Rhys Davies' magnificent 13 ball 32 which included three sixes; this enabled Sean Cleave and Shaun Daymond to take Tavistock over the winning line for a superb seven wicket win.
