MORE than £45 was raised by the Tamar Valley Flower Club when they held a profile-raising demonstration event at Tesco in Callington recently.

The club, which next year will celebrate its 55th birthday, raised the money by offering their beautiful flower arrangements to shoppers for £1 donations to Children's Hospice South West.

The club's Eileen Sturt said: 'It was wonderful, people were so generous.'
