Wildlife lovers of all ages can enjoy a gentle stroll along the banks of Tavistock Canal next Sunday in the company of botanist and conservationist Martin Summers.
The canal is home to a wide variety of butterflies including the beautiful silver wash fritillary as well as a profusion of wildflowers and birds.
Adults and children alike can enjoy the entertaining and educational walk which will start from Meadowlands Leisure Centre car park at 11am and finish at 3pm on Sunday August 8.
The day is suitable for everyone provided they are wearing sensible footwear and clothing ? dogs are welcome.
