THE 20th Tidy Tavi litterpick was another great success on Saturday. The weather looked ominous earlier in the morning but as the teams started the sun broke through and the day turned ?ne and sunny — so far it has never rained on a Tidy Tavi litterpick day!

Fifteen volunteers met at the Wharf, Tavistock, and gathered 27 bags of

discarded rubbish around the town. Unusual things collected included a football, ?atscreen television and a long kitchen knife.

Tidy Tavi is always glad to welcome new volunteers. The next litterpick will be on Saturday, the June 1. Volunteers meet at the Wharf car park at 9.50am. The litterpick ends around noon. Litterpickers and tabbards are supplied. Please bring some stout gloves.
