THERE will be lots of fun activities for youngsters to take part in over the summer holidays thanks to the Milton Abbot Community Group.

The group has organised two reduced rate climbing sessions at the The Barn, near Milton Abbot, where eight local children aged eight to ten years can have a go at climbing or improving their climbing skills, with a chance to further their skills by attending a youth climbing group on Saturdays from 11am to 1.30pm aimed at children from seven years old.

The group has also arranged for Mark Wickett to run Football Skills at Milton Abbot School on Wednesdays from 10.30am to 11.30am for £2.50 per child, aged from five years old to eight years old.

With funding provided through OCRA, Active Villages, the Milton Abbot Community Group has been able to use all profits to support the group which has recently been able to build its own play park in the village and run various fundraising events such as break dancing sessions, band nights, Easter egg hunts and Hallowe'en discos.?The group has more planned for this year.
