Tavistock is so lucky to have the musical talent we have enjoyed recently.

A few weeks ago at the Wharf the wonderfully colourful King and I presented by Tavistock Musical Theatre Company with sad and happy singing. Gorgeous costumes and scenery gave us a show way above amateur standard, especially the children.

Recently another team of young stars of our town showed what they could do. Amanda's School of Dance gave a very polished performance of Oliver! It takes a rare talent to produce the discipline and training on a fairly small stage.

Once more, the scenery and costumes were superb. Sometimes Oliver! can be rather drab. Not this one, even the workhouse scene was colourful and the youngsters really enjoyed themselves.

The mix of adults and children gave us another wonderful evening.

Once again I was a steward at the Wharf. The audience were full of praise as they left the auditorium.
