THE Tavistock Salvation Army Band played carols outside Morrisons, in Tavistock at a Christmas Concert in Moval Near Looe, at the Rock Inn at Yelverton and at the Carol service around the Tree at Mowell House and the officers and members would like to thank Peter and Jemima Hoskins and friends at this event for their generous gift of £692.41 to the charitable work of the Salvation Army.
This includes the Christmas Day lunch for those who would have been on their own, which is shared with the United Reform Church where it is held and also supported by many volunteers and other donors. Despite the bad weather many were able to attend and had a very good meal and time of fellowship together.
