STUDENTS from Tavistock College undertook an enterprising new project as part of their Design Technology curriculum, and raised just over £900 for charity. During the summer the Year 9 students formed 'Proper Job' and 'The Wacky Six' companies, and designed and made a range of products for sale, including flapjacks, smoothies, key rings, bird boxes and calendars. The companies were given £10 to start their business which they paid back at the end of the project, and raised a total of £920 for charity, of which £700 was given to their top charity choice Cancer Research UK, and £110 each went to Farm Africa and NACC.
