BIOLOGY students in West Devon have been recognised in an annual biology competition.
Fourth year biology students at Kelly College recently took part in the 'Biology Challenge' competition, run by the Society of Biology.
The national competition, which is a precursor to the British and International Olympiad, allows students to take part during sixth form, and this year 12 Kelly College fourth year students were recognised for their achievements.
Alex Boswell and Peter Miller were highly commended and Henry Chamberlain, Ben Cole, Julia Howard and Molly Redford were commended.
Receiving a gold medal was Jonny Goff-White, receiving silver medals were Louisa Butcher, Leon Cording, Matt Earp and Jack Roulty and Guy Coulton was awarded a bronze medal.
The Society of Biology includes practising scientists, professionals in academia, industry and education, and non-professionals with an interest in the subject. They promote biology as a subject of choice to students in schools, colleges and universities.
