AN afternoon tea party for senior citizens in Okehampton was held at Okehampton College last Thursday. Around 80 pensioners came along to the event put on by Okehampton Rotary Club and hosted in the main dining hall at the college. Youngsters from the college provided entertainment and music after tea had been served. The Rotary Club will also be providing a Christmas lunch for the town?s senior citizens. The Rotary Christmas lunch at Ashbury Hotel is always a popular occasion. This year, the Rotary Club is inviting senior citizens to one of three days. The dates for the diary are Monday, December 11, Tuesday, December 12 and Wednesday, December 13. Contact any Rotarian for details and possible transport arrangements.
