Lapford 2nds 5

OKEHAMPTON took the game to Lapford from the whistle, but could not score because they were unable to adjust to a following strong wind and slope.

After ten minutes of pressure Lapford counter attacked and scored.

Argyle raised their game and equalised after 23 minutes. Will Eddy made a fine cross from deep on the left wing that Kinsey finished with style.

Argyle maintained the pressure, withstanding some heavy tackles but to no effect. Lapford scored once more before half-time.

Okehampton had to play against the slope and wind in the second half. Lapford scored straight from the whistle in almost a set-piece move.

Argyle tried hard to withstand attacks, but Lapford scored twice more before the wind died down and suddenly Argyle started to show what they were capable of.

They were rewarded when substitute Alex Luxton scored with some style after being set up by Kinsey.

Man of the match: Ben Harris.

This Saturday, home to Colyton, 3pm kick-off.
