SHEBBEAR College Junior School was bustling with excitement and creative activity for Shebbear College's 'Strictly Science Challenge.

Organised by teacher Mrs Purdew, children from local schools designed and built bridges from a variety of craft materials. Assisted by sixth form students, the children learned about the strength of various shapes and learned about the importance of teamwork, planning and evaluation as they built their structures.

Structures were tested for their qualities and winners received prizes presented by headmaster Simon Weale. All children involved received a certificate to take home.
