WHEN it came to handing out the medals in the Flower and Garden Show once again it was Lifton Farm Shop that wowed the judges with a splendid and imaginative array of fruit and vegetables.

The family firm who source their produce from the 160 acres attached to the farm shop on the banks of the River Lyd are regular exhibitors at the county show.

This year they won a large, gold medal for their feature garden to add their collection from previous shows - an improvement from their gold from last year.

One of their outstanding features was 'Daisy' the cow, made by five creative members of the farm shop. Daisy was constructed of wire and filled with moss and succulents to make an eye catching figure to complement the theme of 'Old McDonald's farm.'
