TAVISTOCK Town Council's strategy for the next five years will come under the spotlight at the next meeting of the Tavistock andVillages Development (TaVI) forum, which will take place at the Wharf next Tuesday.

TaVI is hoping to have councillors and officers present to answer questions about the new strategy and how the council is planning to work with the community over the coming five years.

West Devon Borough Council's proposals to make more community use of Bank Square will also be covered, and there will be preliminary discussions on rural issues in preparation for the open forum in May, to be held in Lamerton.

The agenda is designed to give a general direction for the meeting but the community are encouraged to come with any issues and points they would like to make to local representatives.

If you would like to table a particular topic you are asked to get in touch.

There are open forum meetings every month which focus on different topics.

The March open forum is being hosted by the Tavistock Youth Café at Tavistock College.

The April Open Forum will see the return of the quarterly GrowTavi meeting which is looking to run in one of the villages that TaVi covers.

The May Open Forum will be held in Lamerton and will host David Inman, who will be speaking about rural issues.
