BOTH Tavistock?s firecrews spent Tuesday night dealing with flooding incidents, during heavy rain and thunderstorms. The first call out was at the Halfway House at Grenofen, where the lounge bar was flooded. The second Tavistock crew attended a further area of flooding in the town?s Dolvin Road area. And in Mary Tavy, four houses were flooded on Brentor Road and the road surface was also damaged by severe water run-off from adjacent moorland. Glenn Arundel of Tavistock Fire Station said: ?It was fantastic ? I?ve never seen water like it, it was absolutely incredible.?
