POLICE are trying to trace the owner of a sat nav device they believe to have been stolen.

In the early hours of Sunday, January 4, uniformed officers conducted a search on a vehicle in the Tavistock town area. During the search a number of items were seized, including a Garmin sat nav. The sat nav is suspected as being stolen and police are trying to trace the owner.

From examining the sat nav, police say it appears that the owner has links to Tavistock, Newton Ferrers and to have been a supporter of rugby.

If you are the owner of the sat nav or know who it could belong to, please make contact with the police at Tavistock Police Station on 101, quoting crime reference number CR/133457/15.

Following the search, two people were arrested on suspicion of theft and drug related offences. They have been bailed and are due to attend Launceston Police Station in April.
