A RED Ford Sierra car stolen from the Sourton Down area on Tuesday night was found burned out in Bridestowe yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
PC Dave Langsford said the vehicle, dumped in a layby in Station Road, was destroyed by the blaze which was extinguished by a fire crew from Okehampton.
?There were indications that this this was a joy-riding incident, due to the skid marks around the vehicle,? said PC Langsford.
He said there was nothing to indicate that the blaze had any connection with the arson attack on a Carmel coach in Okehampton during the weekend.
