THE first game of the season saw Tavistock Thistles playing in glorious sunshine at Crowndale, starting their under 12?s campaign with style.
The first 15 minutes saw end-to-end football with neither side being able to complete their attempts on goal.
The deadlock was finally broken by a well-placed goal from Ben Pridham.
Looe immediately responded from the kick-off by equalising whilst Tavistock were still celebrating their goal.
The second half saw better play between the defenders Jack Quinn, Bob Finbow and Cadan Lowther, resulting in a through ball to Niall Murphy who scored Thistles? second.
Excellent wing play by Rhys Dunford placed a pinpoint cross at Ben Langton?s feet that he hit home to score the third goal.
Having found this route to goal scoring, Thistles repeated the move ? this time with Pridham as scorer.
Looe then caught Tavistock on the break and scored their second goal despite excellent goal keeping by Phillip Snell.
Ross Seward came on as substitute for Rhys Dunford, teaming up with the midfield to play a skilfull role in the moves that created the fifth goal scored by Leeson.
Ben White completed the scoring with a well-taken goal.
