THERE is still time for children in Okehampton to take part in the summer reading maze at the town?s library.
Okehampton Library are reminding parents that their children can still take part in the reading maze challenge at the library, which aims to encourage youngsters to read more books.
There are also a number of other activities associated with the reading maze during the summer holidays.
On Wednesday, August 13, the Armchair Theatre Company will be performing a shadow puppet show, Theseus and the Minotaur, the exciting story set in the Cretan maze.
After the show children will be led through the portals of their favourite story book. Once there they will be helped to create their own puppets and rehearse so they can present their own show.
The show and workshop are for children aged seven and over and tickets are available in advance from Okehampton Library, priced 50p. The session will run from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
