THE Tavonians Theatre Company recently held two very successful audition sessions for their November production of Dickens' Great Expectations.
Both sessions were well attended, with more people than the cast can accommodate — but despite the enthusiasm there remains one role currently uncast, that of the older Pip.
Pip is the character around which the story evolves and in the adaptation by Hugh Leonard the young Pip is played by an actor in his teens and the older Pip by an actor in his twenties and thirties.
A spokesperson for the Tavonians said: 'It's a great part in a great play, so The Tavonians are hoping there is someone out there who would be right for this role.'
Rehearsals start soon and performances are from November 20 to 23 in The Wharf.
There are also opportunities to help behind-the-scenes in various ways.
Anyone interested in the role should contact the production manager, Ali Fife, on 0845 519 6592 or [email protected]">[email protected]
