UB40’s three founding members are making a triumphant return to UK shores this spring having wowed audiences stateside with a massive North American tour.
Proving they are still a worldwide tour de force, Britain’s biggest reggae band of all time will be satisfying demand in the Westcountry by performing classic hits and gems from their seminal albums’ Labour Of Love Parts I & II at the Plymouth Pavilions on Thursday, May 5.
The two albums between them include eight UK top 20 singles, including Red, Red Wine, Kingston Town and The Way You Do The Things You Do.
Band member Ali Campbell said: ‘We’ve had an outstanding couple of years on this world tour, what a way to finish it with an arena tour in the good old UK, come and party with us!’
Since reforming in 2013, the trio of Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue have remained at the top of their game, with highlights including their 2014 World tour, a huge show in Las Vegas, and critical acclaim for their new material in 2014’s Silhouette.
