Staff at HeartSWell South West, a charity dedicated to helping heart sufferers, their partners and carers throughout the South West, are dancing for joy after receiving a cheque for £1000. Siw Wysome, manager at HeartSWell Lodge attended a dance demonstration at the Roborough Recreation Hall where she was delighted to accept the cheque from dance teachers Tony and Edna Masters on behalf of Roborough Sequence Dance Club. Mr Masters said the money was raised by dance club members through weekly raffles, bring and buy sales, and he had received generous cash donations from his neighbours in Glenholt. The fair was held at the war memorial hall, when crafts, jewellery and paintings were available to buy, plus a range of locally produced cakes. In addition there was an exhibition by the Tor Lace Makers. Money raised at the fair will go towards buying cardiothoracic equipment for Derriford Hospital and the running of HeartSWell Lodge in Plymouth.
