THE group established to oppose a proposal to build a wind farm at Bowerland near Okehampton are holding a sponsored walk next month. ODAT (Okehampton and Dartmoor Against Turbines) have organised the Dartmoor walk on Easter Sunday, April 16. A professionally guided walk will set out from Meldon Village Hall, at 9.30am, and then from 10am until 2pm, there will be walk on a shorter, easier route. Places on the first walk are limited to 30 by DNPA, so book in advance if you wish to take part. Minimum sponsorship is £10 for the big walk and £5 for the shorter one.
