VISITORS to Castle Drogo this weekend (July 15 and 16) can explore life as it would have been in the early 1900s. The family trail will help visitors find out about a variety of topics from schooling and childhood games to fashion, food, literature, sport and music. Also the Castle Doll?s House, built for one of the Drewe children in 1906, is celebrating its centenary this year. There will be a small exhibition exploring its links with Queen Mary?s Doll?s House at Windsor Castle. Castle Drogo is open from 11am to 5pm, normal admission charges apply. The family trail costs £1 per person, including a prize.
