THE opening hours of Tavistock Police Station have changed.

Instead of closing between 2pm and 3pm each day, the station will close between 12.30pm and 1.30pm daily.

A spokesman for the station said: 'The hours were originally changed to ensure we were open all through the two 'lunch hours' —noon to 1pm and 1pm to 2pm.

'The number of people using the station has not changed and going back to more traditional hours means staff have a more reasonable lunch break and the station is still open for one half of each of the "lunch hours".'
