OKEHAMPTON Cycling Club begins its 2003 series of time trials today (Thursday) which are run every Thursday until July 30.
Competitors meet at Mole Avon in time for a 7pm start and use the established course of 11.2-miles to Whiddon Down and back along the old A30 route through Sticklepath.
Many members and often their families too, come up to Mole Avon to meet and chat, even if not actually racing against the clock. Okehampton Cycling Club?s current membership represents all age groups, abilities and cycling interests from competition to leisure riding, on or off road.
The club would be pleased to see anyone interested in riding a club time trial, all the it asks is that you turn up with a roadworthy bike.
