ST George will be taking on the Turkish Knight in a traditional seasonal Mummers folk play tonight.

Look out for a host of peculiar characters including Old Father Christmas, a Doctor and other surprises.

Mummers Plays were a popular entertainment over the Christmas period during Victorian times and there are records of a play performed in Tavistock.

This play, performed by Lodestone Border Morris dancers will be performed at the London Inn, Horrabridge at 7.30pm; Drake Manor Inn, Buckland Monachorum 8.15pm; and the Rock Inn, Yelverton 9.00pm.
