AROUND 80 elderly guests from local villages were entertained by the Rotary Club of Yelverton with support from the staff of Tesco, Tavistock, who provided the food, at their annual spring tea party held recently at the Yelverton Memorial Hall.

They were royally entertained by the Tavy Tars music group, joining in songs and tunes from down memory lane with several dancing to the music.

There was a hard fought quiz won by the ladies of Moorgate.

Also there was a spring bonnet competition, the winner coming from Bere Alston and chosen by the ladies of Tesco.
