BERE Ferrers Spring Flower Show on March 28 saw numbers up by 153 on last year, with judges declaring exhibits to be of a high standard.
The theme of British Summer Time was interpreted in many ways, particularly in the cake and decorative flower arranging classes, where clocks were popular. The children had new challenges — to produce a clock face in a seed tray, and a non-domestic section 'Something I have made myself'.
Chairman Margaret Willmott thanked all who supported the show, her committee, Joyce Peden and her team for refreshments, organisers of the raffle and the plant stall, and the exhibitors, without whom there would not be this extravaganza.
