SPRING flowers are well in bloom now, which bodes well for the gardens that will be opening throughout the country for the National Gardens Scheme raising money for cancer and caring charities, including two at Moretonhampstead. The gardens, Mardon and Sutton Mead, with eight acres of garden between them, will open their gates on May 17, 18 and 19 from 2pm to 6pm. To find the gardens, follow the yellow signs from the town centre. Parking is available at both gardens and dogs are welcome.
