AN ACTION-packed sports fun afternoon is promised for visitors to St Andrew's Church, Whitchurch on Saturday, July 21.

All the family can take part in the free event or just go along and watch. There will be free cakes and hot and cold drinks for everyone.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic and a blanket.

Wacky races and games will include three or four-legged, wheelbarrow and relay races, obstacle courses and water games as well as many other activities.

The event will be held behind the church, between the churchyard and Whitchurch playground, which is at the end of Church Lea.
