OKEHAMPTON College has been recognised for its good physical education and sports programme with a Sportsmark Award.

The college is one of 52 secondary schools in the South West being presented with a Sportsmark Award from Sport England at Somerset Cricket Ground today (Thursday.)

The awards — which are now in their fifth year — remain valid until August 2003 and recognise the commitment to a good, balanced and broad physical education and sports programme.
