A brother and sister from Lifton are doing excellently in their respective sports. Matt Luxton, 18, of Lifton made his debut for Launceston first team rugby on Saturday. Matt, a former pupil of Kelly College, has played at Launceston since the age of six, and progressed up through to represent Cornwall and his schools at all levels. He hopes to have many more opportunities to represent his club at first team level and maybe one day ? England! Sister Lizzie, 15, made an excellent start to her eventing season on her homebred, home produced nine-year old gelding The Lambeth Walk at Aldon, Yeovil. She was placed a very creditable third. Last season was her first on the horse and she was placed in the first ten every time out. Her aim this year is to compete the horse at novice level for her age group, her ultimate aim is to be part of the British Team.
