SPORTING students at Callington College learned about sporting universities in the USA and possible scholarships at a recent presentation at the school. Students in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 had the opportunity to attend the presentation by Sporting Elite USA. The organisation works closely with talented athletes across the UK to help them secure sporting scholarships at universities in the USA. The students spent some time talking about their sporting careers so far and what their aspirations were for the future. They were then provided with a presentation about life as a student-athlete and had the opportunity to ask relevant questions. In the evening, the students' parents were invited to attend a presentation about the process of applying for a sporting scholarship. A college spokesperson said that both presentations were informative and many of the students were pursuing the opportunities that Sporting Elite USA offer.
