A TAVISTOCK family has received positive news after hearing a local business will continue to support their child?s autism treatment. The Lewis family were sponsored by Tavistock Tyres, and new owners PROTYRE say they are delighted to continue the support. Paul Lewis, 5, is autistic, which means he has problems communicating and relating to the world around him. But since starting the Son-Rise Programme of America almost three years ago he has gone from being mute to having a vast vocabulary. Allen Lewis said: ?We are very excited about the promotion of autism awareness and the support of Tavistock Tyres. They feel strongly about supporting Paul?s Son-Rise Programme and will help me raise awareness of this powerful therapy. ?It?s great for all concerned and once again I thank Simon Allen for his ongoing support and his passionate involvement in helping local charities.? As a local authorised TOYO tyre specialist Tavistock Tyres are going to donate £1 for every TOYO tyre they sell between now and Christmas ? hoping to raise £750 towards the Son-Rise Programme. Neil Potter, marketing manager for PROTYRE , said: ?We are keen on supporting the local community and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to sponsor Paul. We hope this will be the first of many occasions when we can support him.?
