TAVISTOCK Cricket Club have moved forward this season with refurbishment of the pavilion, including new windows and shutters and new roof ladder for better viewing.
Expenditure includes new Colts sides as well as a Flicx coaching mat, which will hopefully be used in conjunction with the development and coaching of the local primary schools. This has been financed by a generous sponsorship deal provided by Tavistock veteran Stuart Munday whose Spanish property company Atlas International SW has agreed a two year deal.
Other monies have been raised through the lottery funded 'Awards for All' and 'sportsmatch', along with a loan from West Devon Borough Council who have been very supportive with their help.
Last season's foot and mouth outbreak saw half of the season at the Ring lost. This season sees a full book of league and touring teams put together by chairman John Perkins.
