TAVISTOCK’S next spoken word poetry night is set for Sunday, September 11.

Following a temporary move to The Market Inn last month, the event is returning to Too Hoppy on Brook Street and will kick off at 7pm.

Organisers Millie Byrnes and Derren Jasper stress that anyone is welcome to attend, whether you wish to share poetry of your own, read poetry penned by someone else or simply listen to others’ material in a friendly, supportive and relaxed atmosphere.

Millie credits August’s event as a success, where audiences enjoyed a variety of poems ranging from serious to funny and uplifting.
