SONGS from the shows, classical music and rock were included in a concert by Plymouth Concert Band at St Andrew's Church in Bere Ferrers on May 10. The three soloists were Leah Sabina Sears, Mike Noble and Mark Sidey. The evening was brought to a resounding climax with the traditional Fantasia on British Sea Songs by Henry Wood and Elgar's patriotic Pomp and Circumstance March. Event organiser, Maurice Crout, thanked the band and soloists, conductor Simon Cartright, Steve Jackson for the lighting and Margaret Willmott for providing refreshments. The event was part of the parish 750th anniversary celebrations.
