CROWDS of visitors flocked to Gulworthy Church recently to view the magnificent display of blooms which made up the church flower festival.
The festival marked the 150th anniversary of the construction of St Paul?s Church and the building was filled with 24 different flower displays, providing a spectacular burst of colour.
Flower arrangers from novice level to expert produced a variety of imaginative creations on the theme of Let?s Celebrate ? Lowenna Edwards, who masterminded the festival, said she was thrilled with the response and paid tribute to everyone involved with the Bank Holiday weekend event.
A concert by Stannary Brass Band was held during the Saturday evening and there was a celebration songs of praise on the Sunday night, including a selection of hymns linked to the titles of the floral displays.
The highly successful event, which was enjoyed by so many visitors, raised the splendid total of almost £3,000 for church funds.
