THE Tavistock Specials started how they meant to carry on — winning their first game in style in the Devon FA disablity counts league at Newton Abbot.

Tom Wakenshaw was flowing with ball skills and goalkeeper Ben Burnard was on form saving from all angles and was really tested by a hard hitting forward from the Free Spirits side.

There were some really magic moments again as the special needs Tavvy side started to gell and pass with confidence, headers off the line to save the games they played in.

A moment of glory came against the Plymouth Pilgrims side where Bobby Upham slotted a shot past their keeper and kissed the TCFC badge in front of his old manager!

All in all a great day again and once again a message goes out to any children or adults with disabilites or Special Needs are welcome to come to training on Friday nights, between 6-7pm at Tavistock Community Sports Centre's all weather pitches.

TCFC Specials are now leading division two and will relish their next seven matches on the Crowndale pitches on Sunday, November 21.
