TWO West Devon restaurants are playing their part to help to raise the final £800,000 needed to build the new Children's Hospice near St Austell.
From January 4 to February 26 (excluding Sundays), three rosette Chef Patron Jason Hornbuckle from Lewtrenchard Manor will only charge £12 for a two course lunch in the historic Manor House. Guests are invited to make a donation to Children's Hospice when they pay their bill.
And the new owners of the renowned Horn of Plenty at Gulworthy, Damien Pease and Julie Leivers, are also keeping with the long-established tradition of hosting charity lunches and this year will be supporting both Children's Hospice South West and Help for Heroes; a two course lunch will be £13 and three courses just £18. Their lunches will start on January 18 and continue until the March 6. In addition to this, as a very special offer for those who would like to experience a memorable evening at this extremely elegant venue, charity dinners on Tuesday and Wednesday evening will be £29 for three courses. Again guests are invited to make a donation when they pay their bill.
West Devon CHSW fundraiser Judy Pride said: 'I am so delighted that both of these restaurants are offering these special deals once again. as it has become something of a regular date for so many people.
'The chance to experience the very best food in our area is always a treat and at these prices, one which most will be able to afford and still be able to make a donation to our appeal.'
