FORMER Kelly College student and paralympic swimmer David Hill spent an afternoon at Milton Abbot School recently, leading circuit training for children aged four to eleven.
David then took an assembly where he talked about his success in the pool. The children asked him a number of interesting questions.
Sports and physical education leader at Milton Abbot School Miss Simmons said: 'The children throughout our school have taken part in an inspirational opportunity which they will remember for life.
'Pupils have learned how important it is to keep on trying and to challenge themselves in what they have a passion for, whether it is for sport, music or another career in life.
'This experience has also enabled the children to realise that they are responsible for their own learning and they must always think about their next steps if they want to get better at something.'
Born with no left forearm, David went on to win two bronze medals at the world championships in 2009 and another at the European championships that same year.
