Devon and Cornwall Police are currently recruiting for Special Constables, with applications invited by March 6.

The voluntary role which involves wearing a uniform and carrying out the same duties as a police officer, could appeal to anyone looking for a new challenge or wish to make a difference in their community.

On February 15, the police are holding a virtual awareness event which is offering an opportunity to find out more about the role and hear from some of Special Constables already serving about what the role involves.
