THE authentic 1960s sound of California?s sea, surf and sun lifestyle will always be associated with Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys. Soon that distinctive sound will be recreated for local audiences when Al?s Surfin Beach Boys perform at The Wharf, Tavistock next month. The nine-piece Beach Boys tribute band incorporates all the harmonies recorded by Brian Wilson and the original group, founded in California in 1961 by the three Wilson brothers. Authentic Beach Boys? instrumental parts for percussion, flute and saxophone all contribute to the ?Good Vibrations? supplied by Al?s Surfin Beach Boys. The 100% live show at The Wharf will cover the whole range of Beach Boys? favourites, from early numbers such as ?California Girls?, ?Barbara Ann? and ?Fun, Fun, Fun? to late hits, including ?Breakaway?, ?Do it Again? and ?Kokomo?. Based in the south-east of England, Al?s Surfin Beach Boys will perform at The Wharf on July 7 at 8pm. Box office: 01822 611166.
