THE Charter Hall will echo to the sound of laughing and singing this Saturday, as the 'Entertainingly Different' Rob Pudner and company put on an afternoon of fun for young and old alike.

The afternoon will include games, songs and a 'Traditional Tales Show.'

The performance combines storytelling, slapstick, song, dance and silliness. The performers, who work across the county putting on expressive arts' workshops, play all the parts with the help of a couple of trunks, hat stands, and plenty of audience participation. The newest member of the team is folk singer and musician Jim Causley, who will provide live accordian accompaniment.

The event has been arranged by the Okehampton Carnival Committee.

Tickets cost £4 to include refreshments, and are available from Beanfeast or Oke Newsagents in advance or on the door.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
