YOUNGSTERS from North Tawton Primary School created their own scarecrows recently raising funds to build a community sculpture path in the school grounds in the process. All year groups at the school were involved and were sponsored to add a number of items to their creations. The prizes for best scarecrows were awarded at a school assembly. A total of £800 was raised towards the community sculpture area being set up at the school. The money will fund materials and training to enable children to make their own sculptures to be placed around the school grounds. The winners are pictured with their creations. Picture by Ian Snell
