THE area primary schools' athletics sports day, which was held at Lady Modiford School, Walkhampton, proved quite an energetic event — as these pictures show. All the different events were keenly competed by the young athletes.

Milton Abbot School won the boys' section while the hosts, Lady Modiford School, triumphed in the girls.
