Duchy College Stoke Climsland student Ben Stow just lost out in a shoot-out with professional golfer Ricardo Santos in an exciting Pestana Alto Tournament Golf College Championship final in Portugal.

Ben, an England squad player who has come on leaps and bounds since his time at Duchy College said: 'The Tournament Golf College has been a great chance for me improve my golf whilst still being in education, with great staff and a schedule that is designed around your golf.

'The golf courses we are based at over the year are a good mixture of very challenging to easier courses. The lectures are good fun and you are treated like adults, and Darren Gass, the head coach is a man to be held in high esteem, with great knowledge of the game and is an enthusiastic coach.'
